Annie’s pottery class is a great escape. The setting is relaxing, the process is assisted by your guide who is positive, helpful and kind. There is a special quality of playing with clay that is therapeutic. Enjoy this with your best friend, it’s like a holiday!

I had a wonderful time taking Annie’s novice pottery course, and I would highly recommend it to anyone. The time flew by and I was completely absorbed in what I was doing, which is a great feeling. Annie is a fantastic teacher, not just in demonstrating what to do, but also in letting you go for it yourself, without stepping in to rescue you too soon. She encourages you to be creative and I really surprised myself with the resulting pots. Annie also makes delicious coffee 😉

Annie is a knowledgable, friendly tutor with many years of experience as a ceramicist. She has an incredible studio, which is exceptionally well organised and equipped, with amazing (and inspirational) rural views. The space is a haven in which to relax, enjoy clay and be creative, in great company. I cannot recommend Annie highly enough as a ceramics tutor and I cannot thank her enough for introducing me to this incredible artform.

As a complete novice in ceramics, I felt in such good hands with Annie by my side.
After the initial instructions she let me work on my own, but was there to save me, if I made a mistake. And I did make some :-).
That feeling of security, the serenity of the studio and its environs, the classical music streaming from the radio, all meant that I was actually able to apply some measure of creativity to the work even though everything was new to me. Annie is a very good teacher.
